About
I have a B.A. in Communications from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas and an M.A. in Biblical Studies N.T. from Denver Seminary. A former Marine who had two tours in Iraq, I started to write in order to process my experiences overseas. My culminating project in Seminary was a thesis sociologically critiquing Just War, Pacifism, and Just Peacemaking. My thesis totaled 50,000 words and was edited by both Dr. William W. Klein and Dr. Daniel M. Carroll R. I have also taught for seven years. I spent a year at the Denver Street School teaching social studies to gang members, teen mothers, and drug addicts. My wife and I traveled to Cambodia to teach English at the university level in 2008-2009, and I spent both the Fall of 2009 and Spring of 2012 teaching Public Speaking at Colorado Christian University. From 2010-2013 I worked at Goodwill Industries as a Career and Technology Education Facilitator. Currently, I am the Chief Editor for Arkenbrand, a digital media consulting firm, pursuing a second M.A. in English, and working on a PhD in Religious and Theological Studies at the University of Denver. My forthcoming book, Peacemaking: A Story of Redemption, is due out Spring of 2013.
